Hi John,

Thank you for your response, I appreciate the honesty.

Thank you for your kind and honest comment. In the old system 20 is expressed as 10x2=20 and the same is true in my Direcimal system, however, the difference is that 10 is replaced with Δ therefore the new look of the same equation is simply Δx2=2Δ this actually reduces the characters required to write out the exact same formula by 1 which is a 24% (14% old system) reduction.

With regard to the formula being used for say 25 (15 old system), it is calculated via 2Δ-5 rather than 10+5. It is a new way of thinking, however, it is no harder to learn from scratch and creates symmetry with numbers which allows us humans to understand the Direcimal system easier.

Another way to look at the formula being used for 25 (15 old system), is to calculate via counting up in blocks. For example, we currently have 0-10=0 and 11-20=1 and 21-30=2, whereas, the new Direcimal system is simply 1-Δ=1 and 21-2Δ=2 and 31-3Δ=3... so on and so forth. Looking at the numbers this way, it is easy to illustrate that 25 is the second iteration of Δ meaning Δ+5.

It is all about looking at things a completely new way, we can't try to apply an existing formula or framework to a new numeral system.

Thank you again for your comment, I would be interested to hear your thoughts to my response?
