Yes, the formula is technically the same, the input and output is what changes.

for example, 4x4=26

This is confusing and hard for some to understand, as you have to remove your mind from everything you have been taught in the past about math.

Because this Direcimal system is new and although a lot is still the same, there are some tweaks to create symmetry and simplicity that can only be achieve by changing the input and output of certain areas.

If you look at the 'side by side comparison' chart and study it carefully, you will see by counting the first digits down the left hand side, it now counts in perfect symmetry 1, 2, 3, 4... rather than the existing 1, 1, 2, 3...
